Question. Are there any startup fees?
Answer. We only charge the monthly fee for services that have been performed and completed. In other-words, you are only charged after services have been completed each month.
Question. What is included in the free consultation?
Answer. Your free consultation is provided to explain the services we offer, what affects your credit either positively or negatively, and how your credit score is determined. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions. If you choose not to use our services after your free consultation you are not liable for any charges.
Question. How does credit repair actually work?
Answer. Credit Repair is actually the process of removing inaccurate, unfounded, out of date, false, and erroneous information from your credit report. Your credit report dictates your credit score. The 3 major credit bureaus collect information from lenders, creditors, and debt collectors and apply it to your credit report. Based on that information, your credit score is determined. This information could include the balances on loans or credit cards, credit inquiries, debt to income ratio, and most importantly, credit utilization (the percentage of debt you have to available credit)
Question. Can you remove anything from my credit report?
Answer. We can only fight to remove any items that fall under the guidelines of the FCRA (www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf). These are items that should be removed due to being inaccurate, unfounded, out of date, false and/or erroneous.
Question. How long does it take to repair my credit?
Answer. While we try to remove inaccurate, unfounded, out of date, false, and erroneous information as quickly as possible, it is impossible to give an exact timeline as each case is different. The more items we are fighting to remove, the longer it might take. A general timeline is between 3-9 months, though sometimes it may take a bit longer or even shorter time frame. Ask your sales representative about our priority service that can potentially reduce the repair time needed.
Question. Can I still be a customer if I'm not located in Texas?
Answer. Yes, we provide Credit Repair Services for residents nationwide (unless a restriction applies in a specific state). Many of our clients are even deployed overseas and use our services while out of the country.
Question. If I'm on a 2-person plan, can we each pay or get billed separately?
Answer. Yes, we allow individual payment options on all of our plans.
Question. When is the best time to start your service?
Answer. This is determined by what your goal is. Perhaps you are trying to buy a house. If this is the case, you might want to get started at least 6-9 months before you plan on purchasing. If you plan on purchasing a car, then you might want to opt for our Priority Service which can potentially improve your credit in just a few months.
Question. Can I repair my own credit?
Answer. You have the ability to dispute any information on your credit report you deem as inaccurate, unfounded, or incorrect. Many of our customers have tried doing this themselves only to find out that the process takes too long, is confusing, and full of challenges they deem too stressful to deal with themselves. We take the burden of disputing off your hands and have the ability to speed up the process through experience as well as techniques that are unique to us. Think of our service like you would think of a Tax preparer, Legal Service, or even a plumber. You could probably do it yourself, but perhaps not with the same end results. We highly suggest that all of our clients and prospective clients take some time to learn about their credit, credit reports, as well as the process of repairing their own credit. You may feel doing it yourself is the better route for you and your situation. This is personal decision and we will never pressure you into using our services over doing it yourself.
Question. Is my information secure?

Question. Can I sign-up online?
Answer. Yes, simply select e-mail info@toafreshstart.com. You will be contacted within 12 business hours by a Fresh Start Representative to gather additional information, review your credit reports, and determine a plan of action. This is also a great time to ask any questions. We will collect payment information ONLY if you decide to start service after reviewing your credit report.
Question. What is the best payment method for your service?
Answer. We accept several payment options. We also have the ability to debit and accept automatic payments.
Question. Do you offer a service that will replace my identity with that of another person?
Answer. NO! We do not engage in ANY TYPE of identity theft and will not under ANY circumstance.
Question. Am I locked into a contract?
Answer. Though you do sign a customer contract, they do not have mandatory service terms. We strictly provide a monthly service that you may cancel at anytime. Please remember, we only bill you once we have already worked on your service for any given month. Just like a water or utility provider, you are liable for your final months payment after cancelling our service.
